About

I’m a Scottish YouTube gamer and a singer / songwriter. I put gaming videos on the internet. Sometimes people watch them.

What is a Dajmin?

My real name is Paul, I’m a Scottish musician living in London and trying to do as much hipster stuff as possible! I’m already in my 30s, which probably makes me a bit older than most YouTubers and streamers. But since I’ve been gaming since I was a kid, that also means I’ve got a ton more experience. So if you’re looking for a more mature take on video games, I’m your guy!

I make let’s play and long play videos for YouTube, both indie games and big AAA launches. At least once per month I take a look at a new or upcoming game in my First Look series. Any gaming videos I record with friends or bandmates goes in my Dajmin & Friends playlist.

I stream sometimes too, so check out my Twitch and Mixer channels for when I go live.

Where Does The Name Dajmin Come From?

That’s a long story, dating back to my years playing EverQuest. Dajmin was the name that I came up with for my Shadowknight character. I adopted it as a hybrid of the words “musician” and “diabetic” (I am both) thrown through a blender. But I don’t remember whether it was an automatically generated one or if I came up with it myself. People have been calling me it for 15 years, so it’s almost as much a part of my life as my real name is!

Also, Dajmin is pronounced with a soft J, like “edge”. I guess dahdg-min or something.

My PC Spec

My PC is actually a CyberPower (aka Syber in the US) Steam Machine, a custom version of their Pro system. It’s running a 2.7GHz i5-6400 with 8Gb DDR4 memory and a 4Gb nVidia GTX960, which is fine for now. It will need upgraded soon though! I also installed Windows 10, because I don’t hate myself enough to deal with Steam OS. I record all of my videos at 1080p60 assuming the game supports it (I tried 4k once but my HDD isn’t fast enough to take it). My headset is a Logitech G933 Artemis Spectrum, which is awesome!

What Can You Do For Me?

To be honest, the best thing you can do is subscribe to my YouTube channel and watch some videos or follow me on Twitter. I’m now on Patreon too, although I’m not really using it yet. Or take a look at my Amazon Wishlist, I guess 🙂
